Summer 2024: A narrow majority of voters in the German city of Limburg vote in favor of killing 700 city pigeons. Various animal rights and animal welfare groups had tried in vain to prevent a corresponding resolution by the city council. The resolution entails for a falconer to stun the feathered individuals with a single blow and then break their necks. The process shows that pigeons still have a bad reputation and humans think in a very human-centered way about them. The fact that pigeons exist in such large numbers because humans have bred and domesticated them for centuries and that this is precisely why pigeons seek to be close to humans does not occur to many of our speciesist fellows. So we thought it was high time for a hoodie with a clear statement! This world does not belong to us humans. Other animals, including pigeons, are in this world with us and have exactly the same right as we do to live here and to be treated with respect.

The clothing is part of the Stanley&Stella collection and was produced in eco-friendly factories. The energy used by the factories comes from renewable sources. The cotton is 100 % organic and was manufactured under fair conditions. The farmers don't only grow cotton but also food plants. So they do not only depend on the cotton market.
The clothes are shipped by land or sea. Apart from the ecological quality, Stanley&Stella's factories were also certified by the Fair Wear Foundation. The farmers carry a fair wage and receive premiums.
