About the artist:
The painter and animal rights activist Hartmut Kiewert has been transforming his ideas, thoughts and perspectives on the relationship between non-human and human animals into impressive pictures for many years now.
However, he by no means restricts himself to this topic alone, but also naturally combines themes such as capitalism, climate crisis and the use of public space in his works.
These themes are sometimes more and sometimes less incidental in his pictures. The spectrum ranges from portraits to pictures that deal with the current situation of the animal industry to landscapes in urban and rural areas in which loving perspectives on a future world without exploitation are developed.

In his latest catalogue MULTISPECIES FUTURES* you will find collected works from the period between 2017 and 2024.
