Humans often divide living beings into groups based on arbitrary characteristics. This creates a “we” and a “them” – making it easier to strip away rights and justify oppression. This process, known as othering, can be seen in racism, sexism, queerphobia – and also in speciesism.
“They’re different from us, so we can do to them whatever we want.”
This mindset ignores what truly matters:
Animals – whether on land, in the air, or in the depths of the ocean – have their own interest in not being exploited or killed. They want to live out their needs and not be confined. That is something we must respect.
All animals deserve to be free.
✅ The unprinted garment is produced under safe and fair working conditions, which are regularly monitored through independent social audits.
✅ The cotton used is 100% sourced from certified organic cultivation.
✅ The unprinted garment is manufactured using electricity from renewable energy sources. Transport to our warehouse takes place by land and sea; air freight is generally not used.
✅ The screen printing is then done using vegan, water-based printing inks by our friends at the fairdruckt collective here in Münster.

The clothing is part of the Stanley&Stella collection and was produced in eco-friendly factories. The energy used by the factories comes from renewable sources. The cotton is 100 % organic and was manufactured under fair conditions. The farmers don't only grow cotton but also food plants. So they do not only depend on the cotton market.
The clothes are shipped by land or sea. Apart from the ecological quality, Stanley&Stella's factories were also certified by the Fair Wear Foundation. The farmers carry a fair wage and receive premiums.
