Leave the coal in the ground!
'Coal has to stay in the ground to prevent a hazardous climate catastrophe. Everyone knows, nothing happens. The German government continuously supports the climate-wrecking industries and violates its own insufficient climate goals. Rather than to power down coal power stations it wastes valuable time setting up a committee, staffed with coal phase-out brakesmen. The time is up: people suffer globally from droughts, lose their homes on account of extreme weather events or die a horrible death because of climate-related infections or starvation. It is our obligation to stop climate destruction where it is manufactured: here and now.'
This true and powerful words are coming from an alliance of people from the anti-nuclear and anti-coal movements, the Rhineland and Lausitz climate camps and the Hambacher Forest anti-coal campaign.
You can find out more infomation about them and the background of brown coal mining here.

Info about the production

The clothing is part of the Stanley&Stella collection and was produced in eco-friendly factories. The energy used by the factories comes from renewable sources. The cotton is 100 % organic and was manufactured under fair conditions. The farmers don't only grow cotton but also food plants. So they do not only depend on the cotton market.
The clothes are shipped by land or sea. Apart from the ecological quality, Stanley&Stella's factories were also certified by the Fair Wear Foundation. The farmers carry a fair wage and receive premiums.
