In 1982 a song by a band called Minor Threat started a worldwide
counterculture phenomenon called Straight Edge. Originating from the
punk and hardcore underground and united through the abstinence from
alcohol, tobacco, drugs and promiscuous sex, this vibrant subculture
challenges mainstream values to this day.
EDGE - Perspectives on Drug Free Culture takes a closer look at the
past, present and future of Straight Edge. It explores the reasons
individuals have chosen a life free from drugs and reveals how it has
changed their lives for better or worse.
