The vegan Sonett Washing-Up Liquid is a quite economical concentrate - a splash into the dishwater is enough. It is also quite gentle to your hands. Surfactants are 100 % biodegradable.
Without animal experiments?
In Germany animal experiments for detergents and cleansers are forbidden since 1998. But it's not the same for the ingredients: each of them must be tested on animals, only few alternative methods are authorized. That's due to national laws and EU-regulation.
So we have to assume that there is hardly any material that hasn't been tested on animals (even water) so far. Thus we don't know about any cleansers that don't consist of materials that have not been tested on animals.
The Washing-Up Liquid itself has not been tested on animals. SONETT does not test any product on animals. But the ingredients are tested on animals. Sad world.
SONETT, founded in 1977, was one of the pioneers in developing ecological cleansing agents and detergents. After finding out about the problems conventional surfactants cause the founders developed products with surfactants that are biodegradable and economical.
