i bought this at the anarchist bookfair in London sept 2007 and it was actually the only 'book' i came home with. it is so fantastic and is a TRUE cookbook! cooking is not just about recipes, it's about ethics, lifestyle, where food comes from, where it goes, how we put love and care into it aswell as knowing how to sharpen knives and when it's best to cook in big pots, this book covers it all.Bewertung
chapters on nutrition, kids and veganism, throw away culture - how to be thrifty, cooking for big numbers of people, seasonal food, wild food, growing your own, home brew and my favourite section - preserving! a long lost tradition only upheld by a few women's institutes and mass production in supermarkets. bring back jams and pickles! long liv ehte gerkhin!
also features an ace chapter of korean vegan food which is interesting too!
i would recommend it!!!
