MeLuna - ecological Menstrual Cup - size M

MeLuna is the first menstrual cup made in Germany, a cost-saving and eco-friendly alternative to menstrual pads or tampons.

What is a menstrual cup?
You insert the MeLuna into the vagina in order to collect menstrual blood. MeLuna does not absorb the blood like tampons or sanitary towels, but collects between 15 and 42 ml (depending on the size) of fluid that can be poured away when you go to the toilet.
Advantages:

• Because the MeLuna isn't soaking liquids there is no drying-out of the mucous membrane like it can happen with pads.
• MeLuna can be used for 5-10 years and is therefore obviously cost-saving compared to other sanitary products for women.

MeLuna is made from TPE (thermoplastic elastomer). This material is produced by Kraiburg GmbH in Waldkraiburg, Germany. TPE is a general term for a certain kind of thermoplastic (processed at high temperatures) elastomers which belong to the group of elastic plastics.
TPE was developed for medical instruments and passed ISO 10993-10 required irritation tests. The material can be sterilised and thus qualifies for application in paediatric clinics and hospitals. TPE is made in Germany and complies with BfR, FDA, 2002/72/EC requirements. Due to the high standards for baby products in Germany, you can be assured you are purchasing top quality.
