‘MAKE YOUR VOICE SEEN’ project starts
We’re happy to announce the start of a new project and we need YOUR help!
here’s what it’s all about:
Have you ever thought about shooting a short film against racism that makes people think? Or have you ever wanted to make a creative statement against animal abuse? Are you annoyed by the predominant sexist structures? Do you think it’s about time someone takes a critical look at consumer society?This is your chance! We want your contribution that tells a story, that inspires, that makes people think, that dares to speak the unspoken, that documents and reveals abuse or oppression. Fiction, true story or documentary: send us your short film! Make your voice seen!
The Mission: A multilingual DVD with short films from all over the world, that questions authority. A ‘tool’ for activists; to reveal and present their view in a different way.
It’s up to YOU: Make your short film and send it to us. Whether it’s filmed with your cellphone, on 8mm or with a professional camera, all that matters is the message. If the film gets into the top ten, we’ll put it on a DVD that will be available via the Roots of Compassion online shop and other mailorder distros and stores worldwide. The films will be shown in local cinemas on film festival, gatherings and other suitable occasions.
if you want to help spread the word: put a poster in your city or distribute flyers (we can send you both for free or with your order), print your own posters and flyers (downloadable from the project website), add a banner to your myspace page / website / blog etc., tell you friends, family, neighbor, flatmate, busdriver…
